Here we are at the end of Term 4, 2019. It has been a whirlwind of a term with lots of fun events and activities. We have had such an amazing fun filled year with many achievements. We have given our school an exciting new brand with our new colours and logo. We also made top four in the WAESPAA School of the Year and have continued to be an Innovations Teacher Development School for Digital Technology. We were the only Education Support School that displayed at the Resource and Technology Exhibition last month. The students have all made fantastic progress throughout the school and have made us all so proud.
I would like to say well done to all the students that have recently graduated Year 6: Edan, Jordan, Ezekiel, Ty and Jacson. You will be sadly missed but we wish you all the very best at your new schools. I would also like to wish William, Leah and Matthew all the best in their new schools. We will miss you all.
Well done and thank you to the School Councillors: Jordan, Ezekiel and Ty who did a fabulous job this year. Next year we will have four new School Councillors Abu, Charlie, Ivy and Beth. I know that they are all very excited to come back and fulfil their new roles.
I am sad to say that we have a few farewells this year. We wish Mrs Jenny Mehta and Mrs Glenda Van all the very best in their retirement. We would also like to say good luck to Mr Matthew Davey who will also be leaving us this year to take up a teaching position at Maylands Primary School. We would like to welcome a few new staff members to our team: Mr Michael Guest; Ms Palavi Paramar; Ms Jess Carroll; Mr Ali Abdullahi; Ms Laine McLaughlan; Mr Matthew Beins as Education Assistants across the school and Ms Shantelle Williams who will be teaching in the Orange classroom.
The reports have been sent out to all families over the last week. If you have not received your child’s report they have been posted out in the mail along with the school planner for next year.
Students will start back on Monday 3rd February 2020. We look forward to seeing you all then.
Regards
Sandy McNeill
It has been such a crazy busy term in Yellow Room with Year 5/6 Leadership excursions, Adventure week, International Day of Disability and Graduation! Here’s some of our favourite memories from the year. Thank you to all my Yellow Room families for your support over this year, I’m so proud of the achievements the students have made, they are a true credit to you and to our school. Finally, congratulations to our graduating Year 6 students; Jacson Schoolmeester, Ezekiel Long, Jordan Williams (Purple Room) and Edan Turner (Cloverdale ESC Valedictorian for 2019). Your teachers are so sad to see you go, but we know that you are ready to begin your next high school adventure. We will miss you all so much.

Wow! Can you believe that we are wrapping up 2019 already?! What an incredible year we have had together in Purple. Some of our favourite memories together have been out cooking lessons, typing up our writing and creating some magical projects together. From all of us here we wish everyone a super safe and fun summer break!
