Principal's Post
I cannot believe how quickly this term is going and how close we are now to the end of the year. We have a busy few weeks ahead of us.
From the beginning of next week, you will be invited to meet with your child’s class teacher to discuss your child’s progress report. The reports will be sent home with a class list for 2021, a personal items list, fees and contributions and a Term 1 2021 planner. If there are any issues that you feel need to be addressed with the class for 2021 please let me know as soon as you can.
We are conducting the Parent and Community Survey for 2020 in the last couple of weeks of this term. As always we have put the survey out electronically, but teachers will have a paper version as well for you to complete if you wish, when they meet with you at the report meeting.

I hope those of you who attended enjoyed the NAIDOC and Harmony Assembly. I think the new NAIDOC wall looks fabulous and will be something that will be enjoyed for years to come.
On Friday we have the upper school Assembly – Yellow, Purple, Silver and Aqua. This assembly will start at 9am. Many of you have already RSVP’d to say that you will be attending, but if you have not please do so as soon as possible.
Next week we have Graduation on Tuesday and our final Assembly with Music Rocks on Thursday, 10th December. This will be followed by our end of year morning tea. A note has already been sent home about these two events.
Week 10 we have the Presentation Assembly on Tuesday, 15th December as this is a combined event. It will need to be divided into two groups one for Pink, Green, Blue and Orange, which will be from 9-10am. The other will be from 11am -12pm and will be for Purple, Yellow, Silver and Aqua, a note will be coming out from both schools, later this week. Then Thursday 17th December will be the last day for students for this year.
Last week the new Principal for the Primary School came to visit both Schools. Her name is Ms Louise Burke, and she is currently the Principal at Hillman Primary School. We are looking forward to working with her next year.
We have already started planning for next year and have got a few things already pencilled in; we are going to take part in a combined year 6 camp with some of the other South Metro Education Support settings. This will be at Point Walter and will be in Term 4. We will run a separate 4/5 camp and an activity day for the early year’s classes. We have swimming booked at the moment for Term 4 again, but this may change to earlier in the year.
