In Writing this week, Yellow Room learnt about fairy tales to identify features that make up narratives. Our favourite tales included Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel. We deconstructed these stories to identify the characters, settings and plot. The students enjoyed completing a range of activities. These included, sorting the sequence of each fairy tale into the correct order, a picture sort where students had to identify the characters, setting and plot through well-known fairy tales. We also enjoyed a class favourite, KAHOOTs! We have loved learning about fairytales and the problems the different characters get themselves into!
